Associate will assist in all aspects of valuation of property that
requires detailed research and documentation review. Will assist in
other areas as assigned and provide coverage during peak business
periods. The safe use and operation of a vehicle is required in the
performance of property appraisals.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Learn how to conduct basic property appraisals and complete
basic property appraisals as assigned.
2. Assist in the collection of raw sales data and manipulate data
using computer sorting and statistical packages.
3. Perform field market inquiries and verify sales data.
4. Measure and draw basic property dimensions and collect
descriptive and analytical information with respect to area of
responsibility.
5. Assist in responding to public complaints and questions.
6. Assist in other areas as assigned which include but are not
limited to providing various types of coverage during peak business
periods.
7. Perform other job related duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED, and four (4) years of work experience
in an office/clerical setting. Any equivalent combination of
related education and/or experience may be considered for the above
requirements.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
SCREENING AND COMPLIANCE
The offer of this Bernalillo County position requires compliance
with the following:
1. Employee must successfully complete the post-offer employment
medical examination and background investigation.
2. Employee must comply with the safety guidelines of the
County.
3. Employee must have a valid New Mexico driver's license by
employment date and maintain a valid NM driver's license while
employed in this position.
4. Employee must complete required FEMA training(s) as assigned to
position.
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Essential duties are performed both indoors and outdoors.
2. Indoor duties are performed in a temperature-controlled
environment. Worker is exposed to natural weather conditions while
performing outdoor duties.
3. Worker may be exposed to various dusts and mists while
performing appraisal duties.
4. Indoor duties are typically performed on an even and dry
surface, which may be carpeted or tiled with occasional use of
stairs. Outdoor duties may be performed on even or uneven surfaces,
which may be dry or wet. Outdoor duties may be performed on
inclines or hills and on surfaces such as natural ground, concrete
or asphalt.
5. Most duties are performed under direct supervision. Worker may
perform certain duties as part of a team.
6. Work hazards, or potential work hazards, include frequent
driving of vehicle and occasional climbing and descending
staircases, ladders, and fences. Wild and domestic animals may be a
hazard.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS AND MATERIALS
1. Equipment typically used in the performance of office duties
include calculator, computer terminal and keyboard, typewriter,
telephone, photocopy machine and telefax machine.
2. Vehicle is used on a frequent basis in traveling from property
to property.
3. Equipment, tools or materials used at appraisal sites include
various measuring devices, clipboard, writing instruments,
blueprints and architectural scales for sketching of property.
4. Materials typically used in performance of office duties include
various documents, writing utensils and an assortment of office
supplies and equipment.
