Sawmill Market, New Mexico's only artisanal food hall, is pleased to announce the addition of Little Madrid to its diverse food and beverage options. Little Madrid occupies the entire southeast corner of the market, and pays homage to Spain's distinctive and eclectic cuisine in the most beautifully appointed space. Little Madrid provides an authentic Spanish culinary experience for guests through Spanish favorites such as paella, tapas, Basque cheesecake, wine, fresh charcuterie, and other provisions.
Full-time Hourly Positions starting at $7.20 DOE +tips plus benefits.Located in Albuquerque, NM. Working out of our Sawmill Market
Position Purpose: The Little Madrid Server will help accompany guests on their culinary journeys by displaying extensive knowledge of menus, and communicating inspiration and purpose to guests through our different food options. They will assist guests in taking their orders, ensuring that all food and drinks come out in a timely fashion, and by lending support to the Front of House team to create an overall unforgettable experience for guests.
Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Work under direction of Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
• Greet and welcome guests as they enter the Little Madrid area.
• Articulate the story, inspiration, and culinary mindset of the space to our guests.
• Answer questions, and offer recommendations to guests (if asked) to create a memorable experience.
• Ensure that food and beverages come out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards at all times.
• Passionately deliver refined, seamless service.
• Check identification to ensure minimum age requirements are met for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Resolve issues for guests in a professional and timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned consistent with the functions of this position as needed at the property.Benefits:

    • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Server Certification required.
    • Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more.
    • Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 20+ pounds frequently.
    • Excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask.
    • Energetic personality with service-oriented attitude.
    • 6 months to 1 year or equivalent combination of education and experience; high volume and/or fine dining experience preferred.
