Job Description:
UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for an Advanced Practice
Provider, Nurse Practitioner to join our Behavioral Health Clinic
team! This opportunity is a part-time (0.5FTE) opening located at
our outpatient clinic in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Certified Nurse Practitioner License must have a Focus/Specialty of
"Psychiatric - Mental Health" to be considered for this
opportunity.
Work Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week: (2) days 8am-5pm and
(1) day 8am-noon or 1pm-5pm, Monday through Thursday options OR (2)
10-hour days, Monday - Thursday options.
*Sign-on Bonus Available*
Minimum $107,598 - Midpoint $137,113*
*Salary is determined based on years of total relevant
experience.
*Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per
week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the
appropriate FTE.
Summary
Functions in either a specialized behavioral health setting in the
role of practitioner, educator, mentor, consultant in providing
independent acute and/or routine medical care to a specified
population. Establishes goals and priorities in accordance with
patient and staff needs and organizational objectives. Provides
consultation and advice to others as a highly-specialized
practitioner.
Minimum Job Requirements of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
Education: Advanced Practice Nursing Accredited Program Graduate.
Completed degree from an accredited institution that are above the
minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on
a year for year basis. Verification of education and licensure (if
applicable) will be required if selected for hire.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Psychiatric Nurse
Practitioner:
About the Behavioral Health Clinic - Rio Rancho:
The Behavioral Health Clinic has an interdisciplinary team
providing accessible behavioral health care to the Sandoval County
community, while also coordinating care with integrated behavioral
providers at the neighboring Sandoval Regional Medical Center and
nearby Grande Primary Care Clinic. Team members work
collaboratively across behavioral health and related disciplines,
including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, primary care, clinical
social work, counseling, and peer support.
At BHC-Rio Rancho, this provider would evaluate and manage
behavioral health care plans for patients (aged 18 and up) with
psychiatric illnesses, substance use disorders, and problems
related to chronic health conditions. Opportunities are available
for interested providers to provide care to pediatric patients.
This provider works collaboratively with other members of the
inter-professional healthcare team, including psychiatry,
psychology, clinical counseling / social work, and coordination of
care with other health care providers and community resources. This
provider would have a moderate acuity schedule of 45-minute new
patient visits and 30-minute follow up visits.
