Overview: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist Extern to join our team. This externship is designed for students currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program, providing them with the opportunity to gain practical experience in a real-world healthcare setting. • EPIC electronic charting system Responsibilities:
  • All Pulmonary Technician I responsibilities.
  • Maintains and ensures oxygen administration to patients and implements oxygen therapy protocol.
  • Administers routine respiratory care responsibilities, including nebulization, Chest PT, IPPB, etc.
  • Performs diagnostic procedures to include EKG, bedside spirometry, nocturnal oximetry, and ABGs.
  • Assists in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Vocational school in Respiratory Care.
    • Requires New Mexico Respiratory Care training permit.
    • Must be CRTT eligible or currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory program.
