Job Title: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse (PACU) Job Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4-10 hour day Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a large PACU setting License: Active NM or compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (must be completed through recognized organizations like the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross) Must-Have: EPIC EMR experience preferred Job Description: - Strict 75-mile straight-line radius rule applies; no local travelers permitted. - Candidates should not contact the facility directly; all communications handled through the agency. - Requests for time off must be disclosed upon initial submission for consideration and approval. - A team player well-versed in a fast-paced environment is required. - Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. - Traveler must pass the basic cardiac arrhythmias (BCA) test during the first week of the assignment; those who do not pass will be dismissed. - Shifts may start at either 06:45 or 09:00 and involve 4-10 hour workdays; on-call duties include 4 weekdays in 6 weeks and 3 weekend shifts (12 hours starting at 06:30 or 18:30). - Schedule may fluctuate based on department staffing needs. On-call, weekends, and holidays may be required. - Travelers are expected to float within the facility and alternate locations within 20 miles of the primary assigned location. - Orientation will occur in the first week of the contract and will not exceed 40 total hours, including EPIC training. - Scrubs are required and will be provided by the facility. Additional Information: - Travelers must not have been employees of the healthcare system for 12 months from the last day worked to be considered for this travel position. - No holiday time-off requests will be approved for travelers.
