The Oncology Nurse provides compassionate care for patients with

Overview: Presbyterian Rust Medical Center is seeking a
compassionate and skilled Oncology Nurse. Oncology RNs works with
patients who have, or who are at risk of getting, cancer. Oncology
Nurses -provide necessary assessments, administer treatments and
communicate with all patient care providers to help develop a plan
tailored to each patient's needs. Responsible for utilizing the
nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group
of patients during a shift. You will work closely with a
multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care for
our patients and will be responsible for prioritizing the delivery
of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently
integrating a standards-based framework model. -Type of

by Qualifications:
- Credentials: Registered Nurse - State of New Mexico or Compact
State Nursing License.
- BLS certification required at time of hire.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience: 1 year Bedside experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology
treatments.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, managing symptoms and
side effects.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, side
effects, and self-care.
- Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other
healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care
plans.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their
families.
