Overview: The Surgical Specialty Unit is hiring a Charge RN for
their 16-bed surgical Progressive Care Unit. This unit manages
post-op surgical adult patients who require post-operative care.
Our specialty services include general, urology, gynecology,
gynecology/oncology, GI, podiatry, and ENT, just to name a few. Our
unit features large private rooms each with standard lift equipment
and bedside computers that allow physicians and nurses instant
access to medical records at bedside. Collaboration, teamwork and
attentiveness to the needs of each patient are key components to
the excellent care provided to our patient populations at Rust
Medical Center. We are growing quickly and care deeply about the

will, under the direction of the Nursing Director, work with the
Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as a part of the
management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational
shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow,
exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety,
and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s). May

- Experience: Minimum One year of nursing experience
required
- Education: Minimum Associate Degree Degree from accredited
academic nursing program preferred Education specialization:
Nursing Credentials: Registered Nurse-NM State of New Mexico or
Compact State Nursing License Academic Preparation: BLS
certification REQUIRED at time of hire. Additional Requirements
based upon area of service CDS Inpatient Progressive and Critical
Care Units: ACLS Emergency Departments: ACLS, PALS Pediatrics /
PICU: PALS Newborn Nursery / Mother-Baby Care / NICU: NRP Family
Birthing Center: NRP and Fetal Monitoring; permanent charge
requires ACLS in addition to others Pre-op / Operating Room / PACU:
