Job Description:
Job Summary:
As a CPR Nurse Manager at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals,
you will be responsible for the ongoing development, direction,
supervision, and administration of Care Management, Social Work,
Infusion, and Hospice. This role requires a strong leader who can
collaborate with department directors, hospital administrators, and
physicians to develop strategic and operational plans. You will
also be responsible for ensuring quality of care,
cost-effectiveness, and optimal performance of personnel. This is a
leadership position that requires a Master's Degree and 4 years of
directly related experience.
Responsibilities:
* Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to managers and
staff
* Develop and implement patient care systems to maintain maximum
efficiency, high patient satisfaction, and quality at the lowest
operational cost
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies governing
healthcare delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies
* Recommend changes for improvement in program content and in
short- and long-range planning
* Educate medical staff, managers, and Health Sciences Center staff
in monitoring, evaluating, and improving clinical quality of care
and regulatory compliance
Requirements:
* Master's Degree
* 4 years of directly related experience
* RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement within 60 days
Physical Conditions:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of
force constantly. May require walking or standing to a significant
degree or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing
and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or may require working
at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or
pulling of materials even though the weight of materials is
negligible.
Working Conditions:
Essential: Significant Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials
require PPE. Subject to an annual contract and performance
appraisal
